Pantasia Creative Learning has presented programs in hundreds of schools
throughout the Southeastern United States. Our musicians and teachers are Approved Artists with the
South Carolina Arts Commission and are members of the Percussive Arts Society, the International
Association of Pan (pan is another name for steel drums), the Southern Arts Federation, and MENC.
Programs are designed and directed by Pantasia's lead teacher, Mrs. Kimberly M. Roberts, a
certified teacher with full time teaching experience in both the public and private school. Mrs.
Roberts has Early Childhood Music Certification, a BME degree in Choral Music Education, and a
second BM in Percussion Performance. In 1996, she was inducted into the Phi Kappa Lambda National
Music Honors Society and was the University of South Carolina School of Music's 1997 Presser
Scholar. Mrs. Roberts presented "Adventures in Rhythm" at the 2004 National Blue Ribbon
Schools of Excellence Convention where she received an Educator of Excellence Award. She has also
served as lead presenter for the elementary/beginner division of the International Association of
Pan (steel drum) Convention. Mrs. Roberts and the Pantasia Steel Band are listed on Georgia's
Character Through the Arts Roster, the South Carolina Arts Commission Approved Artist Roster, and
the Southern Artist Registry. Kimberly M. Roberts currently serves on the planning board for the SC
Caribbean Heritage Festival association.
